How to Use Keywords Everywhere Extension Tool for Accurate Search Volume Data

Keywords Everywhere is arguably one of the most effective chrome extensions because as an SEO, keyword research tools are crucial. Without it, you wouldn’t know what search terms to target and how to effectively optimise a website (See SEO Minion). As with anything, it’s almost impossible to do the job without the right tools at hand. The last thing you want to be doing when optimising a website is guessing what works and what doesn’t.

After using the Keywords Everywhere chrome extension, I was able to work with accurate metrics. Check below. That’s correct. The actual search volume data. Not a number between 100 and 1000. See below:

Keywords Everywhere Features

Bulk Upload Keywords

There’s a YouTube video on this – If you prefer videos.

This feature allows you to get search volume, competition data, and CPC results based on the keywords you have entered all at once.

Let’s insert our keywords and select ‘Get Search Volume and CPC’.

We now have our list of keywords with metrics that include search volume, CPC, competition as well as your chosen country. This is quite similar to keyword planner in how its laid out and we can now either copy our keywords to the clipboard, export to CSV, excel, pdf or print it. Up to 10,000 keywords can be uploaded at once for as many times as you like. Very helpful.

The bulk keyword uploader is going to save you time and I would highly recommend it when conducting keyword research.

Save Your Favourite Keywords!

This is a handy feature that allows you to save all your favourite words and store them.

Simply click on the star next to a keyword to add it to your favourites.

Keyword Everywhere Tool Page Analyser

Another great feature this tool includes is a built-in page analyser. Simply click analyse page and see the results.

To start off with, the page analyser gives you some basic yet helpful information such as your title tag, description, and word count.

There’s even a drop-down menu on the right that allows you to choose from a range of different phrases.

Similarly, to the bulk uploader, we now have a list of all the keywords found on the page we are analysing. This data is helpful to understand exactly what keywords a page is targeting and where it can improve.

These metrics are set up by where the keyword was found (H1, H2, H3) keyword density, number of occurrences, and then the search volume, CPC and competition data.

At the bottom of the page, there is an export of the full script containing all the words found on the page.

  • Google Keyword Planner
  • Bing
  • Etsy
  • Soovle

Where Can I Found the Data on These Platforms?

Where Does The Keyword Everywhere Extension Source the Data From?

In short, from Google. Google releases their search volume and Keywords Everywhere collects the data from there. However, sites such as Amazon and YouTube do not release their search volume. Therefore, Keywords Everywhere shows the Google Search volume whenever you run a search on YouTube, Amazon or other non-Google sites.

All the paid keyword research tools use Google’s data to estimate what volumes would be used on these sites.

So, there you go. A free keyword research tool that’s there to help you perform keyword research. As for Keyword Planner, you will need to set up and run a campaign to get the old data back. As someone who doesn’t use AdWords, this doesn’t excite me in the least.

To make things worse, accounts that are spending below the threshold per month are also only able to see limited search volume information. You have to spend above a certain threshold which Google hasn’t provided. Unfortunately, the tool doesn’t provide data for individual states and cities within countries. Hopefully, the Keywords Everywhere tool can help you.

Can Keywords Everywhere Be Specified Locally?

Unfortunately, Keywords Everywhere works by country. Meaning you can’t select your specific city or state to view search volume and competition on certain keywords. For those based in large countries, performing keyword research for local businesses is challenging because the search volume for a country compared to a city can be completely different.

What countries do Keywords Everywhere include?

  • Global
  • Australia
  • Canada
  • India
  • New Zealand
  • South Africa
  • United Kingdom
  • United States

What Happened to Google’s Keyword Planner?

Unfortunately, Keyword Planner only shows accurate monthly search volume if you have active campaigns running that meet a certain threshold.

I’ll be honest, I watched several YouTube videos and tried implementing their tactics to bypass the Campaign stage but nothing worked. My heart started beating, as I knew the day had come when I finally had to set up and run an AdWords campaign to see the data I once had. After accepting my fate, I went over to create my campaign in AdWords.

Throughout this journey, I stumbled upon an extension called Keywords Everywhere. The great thing about it is that it takes under a minute to install and set up. I went ahead and added it to my list of extensions, updated my settings and hoped for the best…

Did you find this Keywords everywhere post helpful? Hopefully, you now know how to use the Keyword Everywhere tool to get accurate search volume data. We highly recommend that you use this tool to assist with your research.

Is Keywords Everywhere Free or Paid?

As of October 1st 2019, Keywords Everywhere changed from a free extension to a paid tool. Their pricing plans work on a credit model; 1 credit = 1 keyword. There are 6 different credit/pricing packages to choose from that can be seen on their website –

Why You Should Use a Keyword Tool

Whether you are using SEMrush, Google Suggest, Google AdWords Keyword Planner, or other SEO tools, identifying long tail searches and keyword ideas can be vital to outrank a competitor in your niche. Keyword tools provide you with the data that search engines are looking for when they crawl your content and if you’re not provided with the correct keyword suggestions it’s going to be difficult.

The best thing about this chrome extension is that it provides you with long tail keywords, as well as related keywords to help put together an effective SEO strategy. Optimizing with semantic queries and phrases is going to drastically improve your content strategy and drive rankings (& organic search). Finding low competitive relevant keywords has never been easier.
